The case is interesting and surely has been with the guitar from new. It weighs in at 6 lbs 4 oz with no changes under the hood, pots date to 18th week of 1965 and of course that pickup is a flush pole Strat pickup, so all the bell tone you can handle. As you can see from the pictures its in good lightly used condition with handling wear to mainly the Olympic White body finish edges, the back of the neck is nicely preserved and smooth with the frets virtually unmarked on a slab rosewood board. For example, a serial number starting with MN2 would be 1992. These necks are 24' (from nut to guitar bridge) and are interchangeable with Jaguar, Mustang, Bronco and Duo Sonic II necks. Instruments made in the 2000s follow the same form but start with MZ. For sale is a Fender Musicmaster II neck, dated to 1965 - as you can see, the stamp is quite faded so the month is questionable but is definitely from 65 and has the right 16 stamp for the model. It has a full neck profile which fills the hand giving the instrument a substantial grownup feel. For Mexican Fenders made in the 1990s, the serial will start with an MN followed by a number that indicates the year of the decade. I guess it can really be thought of as a mini one pickup Stratocaster.
